Overview

Training while fasting in Ramadan is possible when done smartly. The key is reducing intensity, managing energy, and choosing the right workout style. Short, controlled sessions help maintain fitness without draining your body during long fasting hours.

This type of training is ideal for people who want to stay active, protect muscle, and avoid weight gain during Ramadan. Low-volume strength, mobility work, and light cardio are the safest choices while fasting.

You can train before Iftar if your session is short and low intensity, or close to Iftar so you can hydrate and refuel immediately after. The goal is movement, not exhaustion.
